"Whorehouse is the legendary Scottish heir to grime and minimal techno. Hailing from the backdrops of this mythical club night, the first offering comes courtesy of Magic Daddy and Truffle Club. Magic Daddy is a hyperintelligent aroma originating from the third concentria of the inner spiral arm of the Andromeda Galaxy. Despite this impressive start in life, he nowadays occasionally appears in human form as a tousle-headed indie kid who needs a good wash. He plays gigs using stolen laptops, and makes glitch-bitch-step-pop-house. The main creative idea behind Truffle Club, which is different to my other electronic projects (Sparky, Fuckpond), is the heavy use of sampling and microsampling. On the Tigersushi release, 'Autoconform' takes micro-snippets from pop, R'n'B, classical, industrial, goth, electronica and rock'n'roll so small they are unrecognizable, and uses them to create the entire track. 'Cool It', however samples an entire track (Rueber's 'Ruhig Blut'), speeds it up 200% and adds beats and noises."
