2012 release. Digitmovies release for the very first time on CD Guido and Maurizio De Angelis's complete original soundtrack, in full stere, for the movie comedy Il Sindacalista (aka "The Labor Organizer"). Directed in 1972 by Luciano Salce and starring Lando Buzzanca, Dominique Boschero, Renzo Montagnani, Paola Pitagora, Isabella Biagini, Gino Santercole, Fernando Cerulli, Piero Vida, Gastone Pescucci, Fortunato Arena, and Enzo Sancrotti. Saverio Ravizzi (Buzzanca), a Sicilian emigrated to the north, is a worker in the area of Bergamo. By taking care of his workmates' interests, he succeeds in getting the attention of his leader (Montagnani) and becomes a labor organizer. For Saverio the troubles begin when the rumor goes around that the factory is going to be sold so that his friends start to turn their backs on him and treat him as someone who has been corrupted by the owners. Digitmovies succeeded in locating the master tapes of the original session in full stereo and also in very good condition. The label also located an album mock-up (here tracks 1-11) prepared at the time of the film's release, but which never saw the light on the market then. Besides that material Digitmovies have added some extra tracks. The cool De Angelis brothers have written a hymn for the character of Saverio that is introduced during the main titles, a cheerful march for orchestra and male choir and then reprised with "ghostly voices" with echo and reverb effects, a vocal with words which appears later. The main theme is reprised again in a popular arrangement with folk flavor, in a sweet version performed by recorder, and gets alternated with music in a more "police" mode and lounge music. A delightful OST which deserved to be rescued and preserved for the joy of the fans of the De Angelis brothers around the world.
