Written and produced in a country house surrounded only by vast, empty landscapes and an endless sky, Suicide Disco is the fruit of a three-year-long collaboration and Years of Denial's debut LP for Veyl. Urged to escape from crowded cities and information overload, the duo sharpened their sound and working process through isolation and introspection, crafting 11 songs filled to brim with enormous hooks, new wave nostalgia and razor-sharp production details. Barkosina's voice echoes and oscillates against Jerome's snares, profound and wounded at once. Her expressionist narrative takes listeners to unknown yet familiar places, amplified by dub delays and otherworldly reverbs. Each track tells a story based on the intensity of relationships, a touching and distorted invitation into intimacy and complicity.

2024 repress. Years Of Denial is back on Veyl with their second LP Suicide Disco Vol. 2. The follow up to 2019's Suicide Disco, the duo makes a triumphant return, elevating their distinct sound which fuses dark wave, goth, newbeat, post-punk, EBM, and techno. The LP features 12 tracks all written and produced at Ark of Noise studio, located miles away from the polluted noise of social turbulences, immersed in isolation, creative indulgence, and poetic writing. From the start, "Art Break" provides the perfect warm-up, gently cleansing the palette and re-introducing us to Barkosina's lustful vocals with a slow-burning pace that only marks the beginning. "Wrong" picks things up, injecting a dose of body music for an infectious piece that bleeds into "La Pendue" which keeps the energy rising. Next up, "Mr. Guillotine" delivers a razor-sharp edge, carving out a fresh post-punk feel which then brings listeners to the brooding "Never Satisfied." "Lover's Crime" marks the halfway point of the record and one of the album's standout tracks. Undeniably seductive with an ominous feel, the pair keep this mood going with "City Lights" and then smash things open with "Dancing With Demons." After the devious message sent with "The Letter," listeners are submerged in the romantic melancholia of "Death Of A Lover" and "Regarding the Pain of Others" before closing things out with "Social Anxiety" which features vocals by longtime collaborator Broken English Club. The result is an immersive journey through the pair's self-described, Suicide Disco sound, and further builds on the Years of Denial form and legacy.

Veyl welcomes Velvet May for his debut LP on the label. Enchanted By The Muse marks a new and exciting direction for the Italian-born, Berlin-based artist whose aesthetic focuses on post-punk, techno and industrial music. This album embodies May's exploration and experimentation of various musical directions, reflecting a fusion of industrial, rock and electronic elements. It also symbolizes a new approach, spanning genres and styles and exploring his sound from every angle. Conceptually, the album reflects a realm of emotional dissonance in an industrial desolation -- where harsh electronic textures mingle with gritty industrial and rock elements. Also present are echoes of punk's raw energy and adrenalinic drive, a musical journey through shifting moods and atmospheres, serving as a soundtrack to different aspects of life and capturing the essence of its high and lows. From the opening track, "Now That You Have Left It All," listeners are lured into a thrilling sonic dimension with a shot of energy that sets the stage for journey ahead. "Keep On Falling" injects a dose of rock which can be find throughout the record fused with the artist's signature blend of postpunk, industrial and techno strains. Tracks like "The Outsider" and "Slithering Serenade" conjure raw, distorted rhythms and a menacing fuzz which bleeds out of the speakers while "Scales of Gold" traverses back through infectious body and wave. "Illusion In Control" is the perfect climax, a musical assault that shatters boundaries and blurs the lines between reality and fantasy.

Veyl welcomes back to the label one of the most essential and multi-dimensional producers today, Filmmaker. To date, the Colombian artist has delivered a plethora of revered releases from his breakout, The Love Market (2019), to his previous album on Veyl, Fictional Portrayals (2022). He consistently traverses genres from post-punk, EBM, synth wave and beyond to create a unique identity still firmly rooted in film culture. Now he returns with perhaps his most robust and powerful offering, Hollywood Cult. Comprised of 13 tracks, the album sees the producer elevate his sound to new levels, conjuring a world of haunting atmospheres and devious directions that take the listener through a journey of unparalleled proportions. Kicking off the album is the ritual-like "Secrecy," which builds tension before exploding into a synth-driven race against time and moving into the world that lies ahead. "Holy Wood" injects a heavy dose of body music for an infectious piece that bleeds perfectly in to the slow burning nostalgia of "Generational Trauma." Next, "Western Malice" picks the pace back up with its evil energy that feels fit for the best horror scenes before "Shocking Therapy" enters the picture with an exhilarating electro feel. Now in the depths of the journey, "Vessels Wine" continues the saga with a high intensity work that gives way to the stirring emotions of "Peacekeeper Ripper" and the raw, blood lust of "Criminal Rite." Now entering the final phases, "Spiritual Harvest" cleanses the palate before "Elite Dungeons" comes crashing in with a lo-fi feel that puts you deep underground. "Two Sets of Rules" charges back with twisted lines before "No Fetish Without Evil" unveils post-punk strings that puts you in a trance before "Hanging Finale" closes the release ultimately fading out into the abyss. Repeat listens will be necessary and the whole album feels like a soundtrack to a dark new world that is perfectly fitting for any Hollywood Cult.

Veyl welcomes Blind Delon to the label for their third album, La Métamorphose. Founded in 2016 by Mathis Kolkoz, the project released several EPs leading up to their first full length, Discipline (Khemia / Unknown Pleasure Records, 2019) and their subsequent follow up, Chimères (Manic Depression, 2020). Originally a three piece before the departure of guitarist Theo Fantuz after their second album, the project then focused on refining their sound and energy through alternative projects and more EPs before adding a new member ahead of their latest opus. The band currently consists of Mathis Kolkoz (Vocals, Guitars), Coco Thiburs (Bass) and Thom Mayor (Synths, Guitars). Fueled by cold bass lines and synthesizers of yesteryear, French post-punk and black romanticism, Blind Delon shatters genres and styles to create an evolved strain of synthpunk that wears its influences proudly while mutating into something totally new. La Métamorphose represents a fresh direction -- a heavy, post-metal sound that's full of emotion and raw intensity. "Le Crépuscule" opens the album with a hard-hitting piece that commences the experience perfectly. Next up, the group kicks things into high gear with the speedy, heavy-synth play of "La Violence" featuring vocals by Fivequestionmarks, followed by "La Mort," a blackened post-punk cut featuring the one and only Curses. Label head Maenad Veyl makes a guest appearance on the fourth track, "L'Homme," which drifts into deep experimental melancholy with a cinematic feel. Keeping with this mood is the powerful "L'Affront" featuring The KVB, which descends further into darkness before resurrecting with the immense feelings of "Le Sarcasme." Track seven, "La Noyade," drills into the skull with growling vocals and menacing synths which bleed nicely into "La Foule," slowing things back down with a subtle yet lingering sense of dread. French project Poison Point arrive on "L'Envie" which moves guitars back to the forefront for a raucous ballad that sets up the final piece and title track, "La Métamorphose," the glorious grand finale of an album teeming with emotion and begging to be played again and again. Feature remix by Contre Soirée.

Black vinyl. Emerging as one of the most vital producers from South America to Europe, Filmmaker is back on Veyl with the new album, Fictional Portrayals. Recorded in his home country in Envigado, Colombia, the release delivers eight tracks of raw, body pursuits proving yet again that he remains at the forefront of EBM, industrial, wave, and beyond. While always carrying the producer's soundtrack influenced sound, the LP kicks off with the haunting "All About That Pyramid" moving next to the title track's driving energy while then shifting to the more cerebral programming of "Possession" featuring Bad Faith Actor. Things are just picking up with club decimators like "Splitter" and "Immune to Propaganda" while also switching moods with the more sinister "Orphic Eggs" and the mesmerizing "Continuity". Rounding out the release is the cold, emotional ride of "Far From Prospect", leaving you with a sense of dread while simultaneously questioning just what is fact and what is fiction -- something we never quite know in today's multi-dimensional existence.

Veyl welcome Marco Freivogel's Prequel Tapes for an immense eight song release, The Golden Cage. Completing an album cycle of themes and exploration which began with 2015's Inner Systems, The Golden Cage is perhaps Prequel Tapes' most diverse and expansive work -- utilizing the artist's own vocals for the first time and evolving his production and sound to new, uncharted dimensions. Working off the trauma of his father's suicide, The Golden Cage was spawned from a hyper-realistic dream experience which revealed the artist's path, catalyzing new productions and techniques. The result is a striking work of unconventional electronics that journeys through rhythms, atmospheres, and experimentations. A true narrative of a continuously challenging personal journey. Beginning with the tension-building, free flow of "My Turn", you then delve into grief and anger with "I Hate You", which transforms into the pulsating tempos of "Stranger or Lover". The glistening nostalgia of "Last Things" marks the halfway point before grappling with the heavy introversion of "Alone" and devious energy of "Mind Corner". Nearing the end of our trip, "Without Remission" uncovers the most dance floor tuned piece while finally the title track closes things out with an energy that will linger long after you've listened. Crystal clear vinyl; includes poster and download.

Continuing its tradition of genre bending output, Veyl comes forth with one of its most innovative releases to date. Still III is a collaboration between Supreme Low (Jerome Tcherneyan of Years of Denial) and New York-based MC, Sensational, who has been pushing hip-hop's boundaries for over 30 years. Tcherneyan first saw Sensational in France in 1999 while meeting in New York in 2001. The two quickly connected and kept in touch throughout the years when they finally got the chance to record material together in London in 2016. With beats created mainly using an SP1200 (a sampler associated with hip-hop's golden age and raw techno), fuzz/distortion pedals and dub units like echoes/spring reverb, psychedelic modulations such as chorus/flanger/phaser and a modular synth, Sensational's rhymes were totally improvised on the spot in a 3 a.m. studio session under heavy influence. The result is a powerful fusion of sound and style that shatters all expectations and delivers an audio vehicle bridging past, present and future. While not lending itself to categorization, Still III packs narcotic beats, llbient, dub, noise rap, bass terrorist, freak style, raw poetry, and more into an 8-track release which is unlike anything out right now. Joining on the release are Tcherneyan collaborators Broken English Club, who appears on the ominous opener, "Doomed" as well as Years of Denial co-conspirator Barkosina, who, as always, mystifies with her vocal presence on "The World". Also appearing, Meanad Veyl remixing "Everybody Ready" and Belgian pioneer Hypnsokull finishes off the release in perfect fashion with a remix of "Raw Shit". Transparent blue vinyl; includes poster and download.

VEYL welcome Harlem to the label for a new seven track album titled Bait. The Stockholm-based duo of Martin Thomasson and Johan Skugge bring a vast history of production behind them, operating since the early aughts and known for their work in dub and minimal techno. Bait ventures into new territory for the project, delivering infectious strains of body music, new beat, industrial and beyond coupled with soul-stirring vocals which quickly dig beneath the skin. The release is about everyday manipulation, soft power and persuasion. We all exist in a world in which corporate management techniques are deployed in our everyday lives, nudging each other for short-term gain, slowly hallowing out any lasting trust while ultimately all being crushed by a hyper-capitalist system. From the opening synths of the title track to the ominous ending notes of "Night Vision", you also uncover funky grooves and diabolical floor shakers which is reminiscent of something from the past but exist perfectly in this corrupted new world. As is customary for VEYL, the striking cover art was photographed by Tomaso Lisca, and it's a fitting piece for the record, depicting a tantalizing well-oiled machine, all while something menacing lurks under the hood. RNXRX returns to VEYL for his debut album, Impreciso. No stranger to the label, the artist first made an appearance on Previously Undisclosed Rituals and then again with Sigil, a collection of B-sides which act as the perfect prelude to this offering. Derived from an alchemy of inspiration, the album is the result of endless nights unearthing samples, vinyl oddities, effects databases from a bygone era and the artist's own post-processed vocals -- imprecise components which all combine perfectly to form this LP. Unconstrained by genre, Impreciso journeys through strains of body music, psychedelic rock, soundtrack and more, delivering electronic experimentations which expose the artist's darkest tendencies while revealing a long admiration of post-punk, hip-hop and science fiction's finest. Twelve tracks falling somewhere between homage and reinvention, Impreciso operates with '80s circuitry, throws back to '90s beat nostalgia and drills into a cyber-verse for a familiar yet unexpected trip perfect for this moment. Randstad is the production and DJ moniker of Dutch multimedia artist Thomas van Linge, co-founder of the record labels BAKK and Rubber and freshly relocated to Berlin. After first hearing his rhythmic drum workout on "Metalloid", his contribution for 2020's Still Life compilation, Veyl glad to have tapped his second EP These Serpents for Veyl. Randstad is pushing his idea across the spectrum of industrialized beat music for this outright roaring six-tracker ideal to tear down clubs when they finally re-open in 2036.
