Elemental brings some major, dirty break-step action to the floor; phat-ass, squelchy, distorted , squashed low-end and rollin' beats make for two dark and heavy drops. He's had tracks appear alongside Scuba and Caspa & Rusko. Bristol's Reduction label brings a prime slice of local talent from a city positively teeming with innovative music.

"Bristol's Hyetal brings retro, chiptune-inspired aesthetics to dubstep's beat structures on Pixel Rainbow Sequence, which seem to hover in place over a spring-load step-slide rhythm. They render everything a brittle staccato, taking advantage of the bright attack of sounds that might otherwise seem paltry if they stuck around too long. Aside from the hometown connection, Peverelist makes a fitting choice of remixer, given his own pointed approach on so many records." -- The Wire

Debut 12" from the latest label to join the Bristol pantheon of all things dub and step: Reduction. These are the last copies remaining of this tough-pitch blackstep piece from the turn of 2008. This was the first work on wax from Wedge. Expect some fathomlessly deep dubstep. Gatekeeper is known from his affiliations with Appleblim and Shackleton. Fans of the skeletal, haunted rhythms of the latter and the rampant futurism of the former, will find much to admire. Tarry not, no repress!
