In 1980 Gerald Moore -- of G.T. Moore And The Reggae Guitars and Heron fame -- was in Kingston, Jamaica working with Lee Perry on the Return Of Pipecock Jackxon LP. Gerald went into Harry J's studio with James Lascelles (Global Village Trucking Company, The Breakfast Band) and Bud Beadle (Ginger Baker & Salt) alongside members of Zap Pow: Don Grant, Cornell Marshall, and Dwight Pinkney. Of the four tracks recorded, only "Utopia" was ever released (on the Black Star Liner label in 1980 and then reissued by Partial Records in 2014). The tapes sat around gathering dust for the best part of 40 years and are now finally unearthed. "Jerusalem", "Working For The Dollar", and "Constant Spring" were mixed directly from the masters by Dougie Wardrop. Also "Utopia" is freshly mixed here. Four cuts followed by their respective dub mixes. CD comes in digipack with vinyl-look CD.

A classic roots instrumental from the late 1970s featuring legendary trombonist Vin Gordon -- to call him a legend or a veteran would be an understatement. Vin played on numerous Studio One classics as part of the in-house band Soul Vendors. Other notable works were with Lee Perry, Joe Gibbs, and Aswad -- he played on the classic "Warrior Charge." "Kojo Hoy," an instrumental with Aswad as the session band, is in the vein of "Warrior Charge." It came out in the late '70s on a 12" in very small quantities and has been sought after by collectors ever since.

He also worked with leftfield on the track "Inspection." Both tracks here come with respective dubs mixed and produced by Dougie "Conscious Sounds" Wardrop.

Originally released in the late 1990s on a Jah Works 12," "Who Are You" gets a welcome reissue from Partial Records, a label leading the way in unleashing some treasures from the 1990s roots scene. A Jah Shaka anthem from those times, the bass line on this track is serious. Really serious. The lyric is a heartfelt plea aimed at gun men, reflecting a real-life incident that happened, which was written, mixed and produced by Rej Forte, at the Seventh Studio, Newbury. Backed with a ton-weight dub cut "Brimstone and Fire."
