This is the debut album from Lile, a band based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The experimental pop trio was formed when Nico Bacal and Nico Mastracchio met Naila Borensztein, also singer of the well-established band, No Lo Soporto (signed to popart/Sony BMG with 2 videos on MTV Latin America). After a year of noise and experimental sessions, the inclusion of a female voice gave the band its final form. Since 2005, with an independent homemade 3-song EP, Lile have been playing prominent shows in Buenos Aires' indie scene, and their recent live gig at the Panorama Festival in Buenos Aires can be heard on dublab.com. The band writes songs that are richly textured and nostalgic, and almost every sound was recorded by making all kinds of noises with everything they found in Lile's studio at Nico's house. The electronic patchwork of sounds serves as a blanket for Naila's soft and melodious voice, which anchors each skitter, boom and pop. A winding organ threads through lumbering crashes and crackles and the female vocal follows. Homemade in feel, and perfect for a home-listen on a rainy day of coffee-drinking and staring into space. A beautiful blend of electronica and pop.
