180-gram vinyl. English producer Jon Gurd, having emerged from a traumatic family-related drama, dedicates his Birth Right EP to his brother with the message, "Tomorrow Is / Promised / To No One." The result of almost two years of lab-driven experimentation, the EP features field recordings, analog rumbling, and modular synthesis. Gurd recalls, "seriously my process for producing this has been all over the place, literally stumbling on shit, slipping over my own creative vomit, workflow went out the studio window on day one."
