DJ Hell's International Deejay Gigolo imprint unleash its 11th, unmixed double CD compilation onto fans and fanatics. A celebration of the label's avant-garde and legendary roster, talents new and old take Gigolo into the long-awaited renaissance period of modern dance music. Starting from its 1996 foundation, the label's release history (which boasts almost 250 releases to date) has brought the likes of Miss Kittin & The Hacker, Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, Fischerspooner, Tiga, The Psychonauts, The Presets, Justice, and many more to the modern ear. Gigolo's 2CD 2009 showcase is a blend of brand new tracks from some exciting new dance acts, and solid dancefloor hits that have already been tried and tested in the clubs. Some highlights include: DJ Pierre, kicking things off with "I've Lost Control" -- a welcome release from the purveyor of acid-house. Peter Kruder (one-half of Kruder & Dorfmeister) introduces the melodious "Visions LTD" here, which will be released in March 2009. I.M.B.'s psycho-tinged "Kill Bill" was originally released in 2005 on his own Mathematics imprint, and now it features here as an exclusive re-edit. G.rizo is an electro singer/producer, and "Boys Medley" (featuring DJ Glow & Donovan) is an excellent prelude to her artist album forthcoming in 2009 on Gigolo. Joel Alter's "Snake Eyes," Joe Le Bon's "Tanssiakos 07," and Abe Duque's "Life Is Sooo Good To Me" are all exclusive releases for the compilation. Herman Schwartz presents a version of Amy Winehouse's "Back To Black," and "What Should I Do" (feat. Deafny Moon) is the bouncing debut release from Lopazz on Gigolo, from 2007. All this and yet still more to come from one of the most innovative and dedicated dance-oriented labels out there. Other artists include: Opiates, The Model, Motor, Richard Bartz, Acid Junkies, Captain Commodore, Seelenluft, Actor One, Marascia, Fetisch&Me, Snuff Crew, Bennie A, Heib and Phobia.
