2014 release. Digitmovies publish for the first time on CD, Armando Trovajoli's original soundtrack for the movie Maciste L'uomo Più Forte Del Mondo (aka "Mole Men Vs. The Son Of Hercules"). Directed in 1961 by Antonio Leonviola and starring Mark Forrest, Gianni Garko, Moira Orfei, Graziella Granata, Raffaella Carrà, Paul Wynter, Cinzia Cam, Grazia Campori, Carla De Foscari, Anna Di Martino, Rosalia Gavo, Enrico Glori, Gloria Hendy, Jeanine Hendy, Maria Lombardo, Roberto Miali, Bruna Mori, Franca Polesello, Nando Tamberlani, and Luciana Vivaldi. The city of Aran is destroyed by the "mole men". To avenge the death of the king and free his son, Loth, who has become a slave, Maciste (Forrest), with his faithful black friend Bango goes in search of those mysterious people. Captured by the "mole men", they are brought into the underground city, from which they escape. Later Maciste returns to the underground kingdom, and after many twists and turns, taking advantage of his Herculean strength, destroys the city center burying the murky inhabitants. Men of Aran, freed, resume building their city, while Maciste leaves for new ventures. To release this CD Digitmovies were able to access the mono master tapes of the original recording session. Trovajoli composed and conducted a symphonic score where in the title track it shows a powerful and dramatic main theme, reprised later. The composer alternates themes of suspense and mystery consisting of percussion, effects on the organ, mixed with the orchestra, with battle music, a delicate love theme, and a tribal dance. This CD pays homage to the unforgettable musical art of the versatile maestro Armando Trovajoli.
