Mo's Ferry presents a four-tracker from Mossa, a familiar face on the label since the early years. The vinyl is properly packed with four tracks. Besides the title track and a remix by Mike Shannon there's "Tom Bottom" and "Pay Gun" -- two pieces of Frickelsound par excellence. "Pay Gun" is a vinyl-only track: no digital.

Mossa presents his third release on Mo's Ferry. "Ransack" possesses solid subs and a nice, kinky drum kit. The Andomat 3000 remix pushes the whole theme more towards a swinging and rocking house tune. "Dark Love" is a dark and noisy track topped with a sonorous vocal. With toms and hats from the music electronics supply store, "Make The Noise" is an excellent example of controlled rhythm and sound that adds the perfect finishing touch.

"Welcome on board to Mossa with this 4-tracker EP including an amazing remix from Pheek. Starting with the long A-side, actually 2 tracks in one with Mossa's original style mixing distorted bass line, weird cut voices syncopated rhythms... damn huge on the floor. On the flip 'Colorado Bitch' -- a bit darker than his usual style with a distorted cut vocals creating a deeper spacy atmosphere definitely an interesting sight of his production remixed on B2 by Pheek who turned it into a brilliant piece of groov'n quirky house."

"Following Nôze, Mossa releases his first EP on MMR. His pumpin' dry minimal house with unmistakable jazz influences has built him a quite impressive discography over the last three years -- his business card is full of well-sounding names such as Circus Company, Mo's Ferry, Cynosure or Complot, his own imprint. Having been part of Mod.Coop.Four before, Mossa presents two more bouncy minimal monsters on his Indulto EP, bass-heavy as we love him. Short sequences of bleepy funk are swept along by driving percussions and shuffled grooves. These rhythms are not an invitation to shake your hips, they give you a command to do so!"

This is the CD version of the 2LP that came out in early 2006. This is the first full-length album from Montreal-based DJ and producer, Mossa (Jeremy Petrus). After having released on various labels such as Cynosure, Circus Company, Mo's Ferry Productions, Orac and Floppy Funk, Mossa became one of the most refreshing artists of the Montreal scene. With his uncompromising style of house music, Mossa convinces more and more auditors. Rhythmically solid and subjective, his sound is made from diverse sources collected here and there causing this composer to effectively transplant arrangements; some minimalist, most of them amusing, but rarely symmetrical. We can always feel a large range of inspiration in his music: jazz, folk, funk, house, glitch and minimal techno. Some Eat it Raw is a perfect example of his musical universe. The gathering of dirty, "rough" funk and nonconformist ways to turn grooves inside out is all he needs to turn you on. Tracks that you shouldn't miss: the subversive summer hit "Brazil '99," the Russian mountain ride on "Anagram," beautiful cello featuring his friend Godot on "Sure Kill." On this record you'll find tracks for dancing, chilling, screaming, laughing, kissing, running, crying, and to make a girl smile.

"Mossa is back on Mo's Ferry after his great Some Eat It Raw album at Circus Company! This time he shows his sweet and sickly rumbling side. Side A purrs, like the minette track promises, through clappy clicky frequencies, which lay around that terrific groovy bassline and dance with tiny speech snatches. Mr. Portable takes only a few samples of the original and creates an energy filled remix, which reveals his African roots. Side B reveals rumble sugar, which melts directly on the disk and sweetens the ears just to lay on your hips and command them to move during sweet mambo."

Double LP version. "The talented Montreal based producer Mossa now delivers his first album Some Eat It Raw. 2004 release. "Following in the same vein as some of his Montreal based predecessors Mossa brings us one step closer to defining the Montreal sound. Using a formula very familiar, yet tainting the formula with his own signature style of sound processing and sequencing. His jazz/funk background echoes through his works. Mossa's productions have an element that lacks in a majority of electronic music today.Soul and funk. "Blastula" is a low fi tech house masterpiece. Paying homage to the Cynosure sound this track has all the right elements."

"Dirty, crazy, groovy with no wrong respect -- integrating freejazz, p-funk, punkrock, techno and house with their music Circus Company are easily one of the leaders of the ultra fresh Parisian dancefloor avantgarde. As a teaser to his upcoming debut album Some Eat It Raw, Montreal-based Mossa introduces a highly versatile 4 tracker combining the best of his trademark style: an eclectic minimal mix of rhythm and kick, plastic and static, amusing and rarely symmetrical all at the same time. And what can you do these days to make a perfect package unforgettable? Hand it over to John Tejada (and Justin Maxwell) and let him give it the 'Midas' touch, hehe... and that again happened here -- illing, thrilling, rocking nonstopping."

"Montreal-based Mossa's instrumental background can be clearly heard in his electronic compositions. After DJ-ing since 1999, Mossa (aka Jeremy Petrus) ventures into producing, combining his many styles to create a body of work which is at times minimalist, amusing, and rarely symmetrical. Using an assortment of plastic and static sounds collected here and there, he arranges an eclectic bouquet of rhythm and kick. Mossa is also dedicated to releasing an uncompromising style in house music and minimal techno with his record label, Complot Records. He released on labels like Cynosure, Mo's Ferry, Mutek or Orac and has been remixed by supreme producers like Mike Shannon, John Tejada and Ark. One of his milestones is his forthcoming debut album Some Eat It Raw on Circus Company -- an amazing collection of samples and beats. Scat Attack, his first (and definitely not last) 12" for Floppy Funk, is again a masterpiece of amusing antistatic microfunk."

"Clever, treacherous, propulsive dance music by Mossa. Raunchy, burning low-end throbs the sense out of you while a crucial uplift is provided by brightly colored flashes of classic techno rhythm. Not so much a light at the end of the tunnel as a reminder that the light is the tunnel, so let's have a tunnel party. A purposeful ambiguity between different rhythms ties the whole package into something much more than a gridwise construction, a viscous flow of beats in which you set your own 'Swing' knob and get to be a small part of a big wave. The Ben Nevile remix is probably the most banging thing to come out on Orac since DJ Slip's remix of 'Strategy.' The sound of killer bees cutting up the original and hiding the parts in crumbling sweet densely packed hexagons. Organic, simple, and effective."
