In our fast moving times, five years of sharing a musical path is a remarkable way, and a good moment, to celebrate. Mollono.Bass and Ava Asante celebrate with their first joint album: Birds Flying High. By combining the catchiness of their solid grooves with a touching violin and a breathtaking voice, they create a magical journey - a journey that takes you along endless roads from lively African villages to mystic Asian dreams. While Part One of their vinyl double brought pleasure to the festival world in the summer of 2016 already (3000GRAD 035EP), the silence of the following winter gave them more precious time in the studio to melt all their musical feelings into a second vinyl. This CD combines the new mixes with the Part One. Lay back and relax or move your feet in passion.

The musical talents of Mollono.Bass and Ava Asante complement each other like motes of dust dancing in the golden sunlight. The highly dynamic vibe of "La Vida Colorida" is based on the principles of bass, beats and pressure, but even more so on intense melodic catchiness. The track comes in a multicolored variety of versions and remixes: Dole & Kom turn the track into a sleek piece of liquefied house music, whereas Mollono.Bass delivers a jazzy deconstruction. The EP also includes an instrumental version, and for those moments of peak-time euphoria, there is a mix by Ava Asante. All tracks produced by Ronny Mollenhauer & Ava Asante.

Using his unmistakable organic groove, Acker Records bigwig Mollono.Bass lays the rhythmic foundations of "Traumtänzer." Upon it, Ghanaian beauty Ava Asante plays her violin, creating a fantastic crystal palace of sound. René Bourgeois jumps up and down its bright corridors and halls, making the ground shake with his lively rhythms. Gorge adds a subtle, ever-growing build-up of progressive house, which erupts into rolling bass pressure and catchy chord sounds. Finally the Stereo Express remix departs towards dreamy, minimalist soundscapes.
