LP version. Legendary UK band Asian Dub Foundation is celebrating its 30th Anniversary in 2024! Asian Dub Foundation are a genre unto themselves. Their unique combination of jungliest rhythms, dub bass lines and wild guitar overlaid by references to their South Asian roots via militant high-speed rap has established them as one of the best live bands in the world. The story began in the early '90s when ADF formed from a music workshop in East London at the institution which is their spiritual home, Community Music. Their unique beginnings in a music workshop in east London shaped both their sound and their educational aspirations, setting up their own organization ADF Education (ADFED), plus instigating campaigns on behalf of those suffering miscarriages of justice. Building a solid live reputation in the mid-'90s, they gained worldwide recognition sharing the stage with Rage Against The Machine, the Beastie Boys, Radiohead, and Primal Scream. In 30 years, Asian Dub Foundation have racked up 1000's of unforgettable shows, nine studio albums alongside a social and educational activism that both created the group and sustains them today. In celebration of the longevity of this unique project they present a special album showcasing their many iconic collaborations: 94-Now: Collaborations. Skarra Mucci is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist born in Kingston. Known as the "Dancehall President", his career counts seven solo albums, including the essential Return of the Raggamuffin (2012) and countless classics and cult collaborations, such as the hit "My Sound" from the album Greater Than Great (2014) which exceeds 15 million cumulative streams and the critically acclaimed album Dancehall President (2016) with its tour of more than 100 dates around the world, from Mexico to China. Five years after the release of The One Love Family (2018), this essential figure of Jamaican music, with his versatile flow and recognizable voice, announces a new studio album with multiple influences Perfect Timing. Perfect Timing is an ode to reggae of all eras, full of nods to the Sound System culture, from its origins to the present day. From the choice of the featurings to that of the beats, nothing is left to chance to offer us a journey through the highlights of this rich culture which has never ceased to evolve, without any period being left behind. Accustomed to albums teeming with successful collaborations, Perfect Timing is obviously no exception. In particular, on the title "Street Dance," are the essential French producers of L'Entourloop, with whom he released the very successful EP Golden Nuggets. Jamaican legend Johnny Osbourne also takes part in the celebration offering a version of his '80s classic "What A La La," here performed by French riddim maker specialized in digital reggae, Manudigital. Skarra Mucci continues his exploration of various styles and influences with the very groovy "Dancehall," produced by the Dub Akom band. There is also the massive "Who Fool Them," a UK stepper track produced by Evidence Music, as long as the future dancehall classic "Rappa Pam Pam," and the mystic "Misty Babylon" in a much more roots reggae register.

Unstoppable elders of the L'Entourloop collective, King James and Sir Johnny present their long-awaited third album, La Clarté Dans La Confusion ("Clarity in Confusion"). Produced in their now legendary Bandulu Studio, the 20 tracks of this new album are the result of a patient production process, carried out with care and passion. Throughout the album, L'Entourloop testifies in its own way via a puzzle of film samples, of this strange pandemic period, using all its savoir faire when it comes to make the people dance. Since 1964, when the song "My Boy Lollipop" flooded the European radio airwaves, L'Entourloop's love for reggae and its culture has never stopped growing. With this third album, they wanted to pay tribute to the legendary pioneers of this incredible movement -- artists and producers such as Tom Wong, Count Machuki, Prince Buster, and Lee "Scratch" Perry. An album which is a true declaration of love for soundsystem culture and its children -- reggae, dancehall and hip-hop. The success of their previous albums Chickens in Your Town (XRP 1802LP/1803CD, 2015) and Le Savoir Faire (2017), with their famous "Banging Hip-Hop Inna Yardie Style" quickly brought L'Entourloop into the spotlight, along with their hundreds of shows performed all over Europe. With no less than 32 guests from all over the world, MCs fling lyrics like guns like in a western movie and the new album is no exception. On the reggae side, Jamaican legends such as Ken Boothe and Bounty Killer meet new generation stars such as Alborosie, Kabaka Pyramid, Queen Omega, and Marcus Gad. On the hip-hop side Chali 2Na from legendary US group Jurassic 5, Swedish MC Promoe from Looptroop Rockers, US rapper Rêverie, the excellent JuJu Rogers, French beatmaker Degiheugi, and the irresistible South African female rapper Dope St Jude all make appearances. The UK vibe can also be felt with features from jungle and dancehall pioneers General Levy and Tippa Irie as well as heavyweights of the grime scene Flowdan, Lady Chann, and Killa P. Fellow French artists are also in the spotlight with guests such as Big Red, O.B.F, and Manudigital. To complete this amazing cast, L'Entourloop has once again called on the incomparable Troy Berkley from Bermuda and the talented trumpeter N'Zeng, formerly of Le Peuple de l'Herbe, to accompany the collective on the road along with a new addition -- excellent Dutch rapper BlabberMouf. Also features N'Zeng, Lion in Bed, Lyricson, Red Fox, Dope Saint Jude, LMK, Reverie, Dawa, The Architect, Las Ninyas del Corro, and Blackout JA.

The Dizzy Brains are four musicians with a garage rock sound, spreading their militant music beyond their native Madagascar to make their anger against corruption, the inaction of the people, the politicians, and the lack of freedom of expression resonate. They have turned their raw, sometimes vintage rock into a weapon to denounce and make themselves heard. Fans of the Sonics, the Stooges or MC5, the two brothers, Eddy on vocals and Mahefa on bass, founders of the band, were brought up on good old '60s-70s rock by their father. After the band's revelation at the Trans Musicales de Rennes in 2015, they have played at the Printemps de Bourges, MaMA festival, Solidays and Festival d'été de Quebec. They have also played in France, Morocco, South Korea and Germany. Their first EP Vangy (2015) and their first two albums Out Of The Cage (XRP 1602CD/LP, 2017) and Tany Razana (XRP 1804LP/1805CD, 2018) set the tone: "Madagascar is not a cartoon!" The group is here to let people know that Vangy is still, and more than ever, relevant when we see the country sinking deeper because of the lack of action of corrupted politicians. Madagascar is one of the poorest countries in the world without having experienced war and the first country to suffer famine due to global warming. Three years after Tany Razana, the group returns to shout its rage in a third album entitled Dahalo. A return to their roots with an album written almost entirely in Malagasy. The Dahalo are bandits who spread terror in the south of Madagascar, the traditional zebu theft which marked the passage to adulthood for the Bara (southern ethnic group) has become a violent and murderous business feeding a mafia system. For the band's members, the motto does not change, the love for their native land does not make them blind to corruption, poverty, abuse of men, rape and drought. Through a melodious and powerful punk rock, Dahalo offers a musical journey full of energy. The violence of the message is transcribed with accuracy and coherence, amplified by the guitar riffs of Poun and the drums of Alban. The four musicians from Tananarive are ready to set the stage on fire. The incredible stage presence of Eddy, the leader, and the virtuosity of the three musicians, will inevitably leave their mark on the audience during their next concerts in France and elsewhere.

Bazbaz and Manudigital digitally met during lockdown. Bazbaz is a French singer who presents a personal mix of songs based on blues, reggae, and rock. His detached tone, his lyrics with a bittersweet scent and his love for women make his songs particularly endearing. Beatmaker and bassist specializing in digital reggae, Manudigital became a major producer on the international scene over the years by collaborating with numerous artists and developing various video concepts around the world. This is how, from a virtual meeting on Instagram in lockdown mode, a very real EP came to life: #LoveBordel. A joint project between Bazbaz and Manudigital. Bazbaz: "Being a true reggae addict, I've been enjoying the sound of Manudigital for a while now. I love his digital session formula, to put on a little keyboard on your knees in the streets of Kingston, New York or the sidewalks of Manila and make incredible guys sing live and direct, you have to have ... balls!" From their mutual respect, the idea of creating songs together has born instantly. Without knowing each other, without ever meeting, due to lockdown, the two musicians begin to compose seven tracks.
