[sold out] "To prime the pump for the upcoming 1977 box set In The Red will be dropping next year, they are proud to announce this reissue of the 1976 debut single from The Saints. '(I'm) Stranded' was the first punk rock record to come out of Australia, one of the earliest punk singles from anywhere, and one of the greatest seven inches ever! In The Red is over the moon to put their fingerprints on this monster! For this reissue the label has replicated the original UK, US and Dutch picture sleeves, each with a unique color vinyl variant."

INDIE EXCLUSIVE, RSD ITALY JULY DROP RELEASE. Limited pink vinyl. These tracks were recorded early-to-mid '74, almost a year after the band had formed and almost two-and-a-half years before the release of the first Saints' single in 1976. The recording was made in Ed Kuepper's parents' garage, except for "Misunderstood" which was recorded at Queensland University, direct onto a mono cassette-deck and features the second line-up of the band. Before this the Saints were a three-piece, with Ivor Hay on piano and no drummer. It captures the band near the beginning of its first phase, as opposed to the EMI release which was at the end, and without getting into a debate about aesthetics, this one's probably better. In a different universe, this would have been the first Saints LP.
